Born and raised in Chicago, Khadeeja Grace is a music producer, multi-disciplinary artist, and the visionary entrepreneur behind GRACEGALAXY. Immersed in music from birth, she grew up harmonizing to her father’s Sunday band rehearsals and his vast collection of Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, and the Ohio Players and Roy Ayers. Khadeeja’s expertise is built on a rare blend of classical training and technical mastery. A former youth trumpet player, she studied classical piano, music theory, and classical voice (arias) at Prairie State College while simultaneously mastering sound engineering. Her career took a pivotal turn at Chicago’s Pressure Point Studios, where she served as an assistant engineer. Four years after her tenure there, she launched GBB Studios Chicago under the Pressure Point umbrella. This studio business served as a mentoring hub where aspiring artists and students could earn college credits or professional referrals. Deeply committed to equity, she also founded “Girl Meets Industry,” a quarterly event featuring celebrity panelists to counsel and empower young women navigating the male-dominated music industry. As a producer and vocalist, Khadeeja creates a sophisticated, mixed-genre sound that blends House, Jazz, Latin, and Gospel. Her process is deeply intuitive; music often comes to her in dreams, and she wakes to immediately produce the subconscious melodies and complex basslines she hears. Khadeeja earned a lifetime achievement award signed by President Joe Biden for her contributions with the youth in the Chicago public school system for art and music. Her discography reflects a high level of respect among industry icons. In addition to her collaboration with Jamie 3:26 and work with Steve "Silk" Hurley, Khadeeja is currently embarking on a series of projects with Theo Parrish, including a milestone collaboration featuring the late Chuck Roberts. A full-time musician and businesswoman, Khadeeja continues to push the boundaries of sound and industry standards through her work with GRACEGALAXY.
