mBtheLight, is the moniker of Detroit native and multidisciplinary artist Monica Blaire. theLIGHT is a performance artist, dexterous composer, singer songwriter, and MC. mB carries hints of soul, house and hip hop layered over a foundation of improvisational sounds and technologically-infused experimentation. Merging many talents as a one-woman show, mB crafts each track with a surreal and sonic landscape of brilliance that infuses a complex, often playful range of a capella voice elements and everyday sounds found outside of the digital realm. mB’s latest project ‘HOW TO DRESS WELL IN THE DARK’ is available via Mahogani Music.
